Summertime = lack in working out

It's been awhile since I've posted and I'd like to say that it's because of been working hard towards my "crazy" dream of finally reaching my goal weight that I've been dreaming about for so long but unfortunately that is not the case :(

No, since the last time I wrote things in my life have only seemed to get crazier and my workouts were the one thing that truely suffered. For those people who still manage to lose weight during these warm summer months, I've got to hand it to you. I, on the other hand managed to gain 5 of the pounds I lost during my biggest mover training days :( Granted during the past three months I only set foot into the gym once and that was a 20-30 minute workout but it wasn't enough. On the plus side though, this summer was far better than the past few summers where I seemed to gain back at least 10+ pounds....must of been the change of camp food that did it or maybe it was the fact that a little over half the summer I was putting in roughly 50-60 hours a week. By the time I was done with work and the 30-40 minute drive back to the city, the last thing I wanted to do was workout.
I tried to get myself moving in the early hours of the day, when the temperatures were much cooler but once again, I found it hard to pull myself out of bed (why do they have to make those things so darn comfortable). Not only was it hard to find time before or after work but with having my days off so far and few in between, I really didn't want to take the time to hit the gym....instead, I wanted to make this summer all about adventures. I remember as a little girl piling into the car with my family and just driving, not knowing where we were going to end up and I wanted to do that again  this summer....mission was accomplished :) This summer I enjoyed some nice road trips along the coast of Maine and to the Western part of the state.

Starting in September, my goal is to try to get my life back in order (hopefully I'll be able to do this since I'll finally be back at the Y and really shouldn't have an excuse for not making it to the gym). So here's to a new, fresh start!
